The Willis Tower

                                      The Willis Tower

The Willis Tower is a 110-story building with a sky deck (where you can see four states Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan) and was the worlds tallest building until 1998.

This building took 2,000 workers to build, has approximately 16,000, and weighs 222,500 tons. It took three years to build. In total the project cost $175 million. This was almost the tallest building in the world, and all tall buildings sway. This building will sway up to four to five feet, which is a lot for an average building. That is more than the Empire State Building and that building sways 6 inches.

This entire building sold for $840 million dollars in 2004. This building was originally named the Sears Tower, but they renamed in 2009 it the Willis Tower after the Willis Group Holdings. It opened in 1973 and is 1,730 feet tall, including the antenna.
