This book is about a six grade boy named Rafe, who is starting Middle school. Rafe is a boy that respects his mother because of how hard she works. One because Rafe’s dad does not have a job all he does is sit on the couch and watch TV, and two because of Rafe and Georgia Rafe’s little sister. Rafe was going to Middle school, but he did not like his new school because of the rules and how the teachers treat everybody. The school had rules that made the students act like soldiers. Rafe did not like it and so he thought it would be nice to shake things up a little by breaking every rule in the rule book, with a little inspiration from his “friend” Leo. They broke every rule in the rule book, and now they have to face the consequences...

   This Halloween I went as a witch, my dad went as the little boy from the movie Coco, my sister went as the grandma from Coco, and my mom did not dress up. My dad went trick-or-treating with me and my sister, we went all the way across the train to Heritage and back. My sister and I collected a whole lot of candy. My dad also brought my dog with us who was dressed as a chicken. When we arrived back at the house, me and my sister helped my mom give out candy. Then we all watched the Adams family, eating some candy. Then we went upstairs when we thought no one was going to come and went to bed.

   This book was unbelievable. The ending was unpredictable, and the book always had something going on. The part about this book that mostly surprised me was the part when Rafe (the main character) made his mom cry because he wasn’t doing good in school. The thing that I like about this book is that Rafe is always drawing, and I like drawing. I like the way he draws, it really expresses how Rafe feels throughout the book. I think this book really shows what can go wrong in Middle School. This was probably my favorite book in the entire first quarter.

   My long weekend was pretty decent. On Saturday my grandma came over and we made dinner and ate together. Then on Sunday we took a trip to a water park, we stayed there till Monday. The water park was huge. It had a gift shop, a lazy river, and huge slides that my whole family went on together on a huge raft. Then the next day we ate breakfast at a restaurant that had a nice view on the whole water park, when we finished breakfast we went down to the water park. My dad and my sister went under the big bucket the drops a lot of water on you, like a huge waterfall. The me, my sister, and my mom went on one of the big slides where you have to go on a raft and go through. Then we made our way to the lazy river. When it was about six o’clock we change and packed all of our belongings to get ready to leave the water park.    The drive back home was not that long, it was just a few hours. When we finally arrived home we unpacked the car and went inside. The next day we stayed home all day

   Last night my aunt came over to drop of her dog at my house because she was going on a vacation. The dogs name is Canella and she is a pit bull. She is fully trained which made it easier for me and my family to take care of her. Then the problem was in the morning and sometimes in the night, my three dogs would bark causing Canella to bark as well and it just gets really loud. Then the fun thing was that I Cannella can walk with us without a leash, which I thought was helpful since my dogs are a handful. Then the other problem is that my neighbors also have a huge dog almost as big as Canella and we are scared that they will not get along well...    The Thursday came and my dogs and Canella were barking we had to wake up to take them out, feed them, and put them back in. Then we all started with our morning routine, hoping that when we all leave that they will not bark as much... ...Thankfully we are not keeping her forever...

  I think Quarter 1 went well. I met my goals, read lots of books, and got good grades in most of my classes. Quarter 1 went better than I thought it would...  My new goal for this year is to read books to put on the wall, read a specific series (  Series of Unfortunate Events, I am on book 7 The Vile Village ), and not to get a falcon foul. I have not gotten a falcon foul YET... I think Ms.Haury was a fun teacher for the first quarter, she was so nice to all students...    In this quarter i finished all of my homework and was prepared for all my classes. I am not planning on joining any clubs this quarter. My favorite class this quarter was science. I am hoping Quarter two will go just as fine...

   November 7    I am reading two series. One is ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’, and the other is ‘The Spiderwick Chronicle.’ On ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ I am on book eight called ‘The Hostile Hospital.’ Then on the other series I am on book four called ‘The Ironwood Tree.’    November 8    I finished the book ‘The Ironwood Tree’ and currently on book 5 called ‘The Wrath of Mulgarath,’this book is the last book in the series. I am looking forward to reading another interesting series. I am still reading the ‘Series of Unfortunate Events.’    November 15    I have finished the book ‘The Ironwood Tree’ and then moved onto the next book,(The Wrath of Mulgrath) and I finished that one, too. Then on the other series I am still on book 8 called ‘The Hostile Hospital.’ November 19 I finished ‘The Hostile Hospital’and I am now on book 9 called ‘The Carnivorous Carnival.’ I also finished the book called ‘The Wrath of Mulgrath’ and i am officially done with that series.

   I am so excited for Thanksgiving Break because I love when the whole family gets together because  I have a big family. Then when everyone is at home my dad lights up the fireplace and we all sit together at the table to eat. I like thanksgiving because of my family and all the food, but the bad thing is that there is sometimes a lot of leftovers that we don’t know where to put it all.    Then when Thanksgiving is over we say good-bye to each other and clean up the table.    I think Thanksgiving is my second favorite Holiday, my  favorite  Holiday is Christmas because that is when all of my family comes, literally everyone. I think Christmas is more fun because it is fun when everyone gathers around the fire place and we pass around thepresents to each other and see what we all got. Last year I got a new computer and a printer. Then my sister got a lot of other stuff, cause the thing is she loves unicorns, her room theme is all unicorns and all pink. She has loads of stuffed an

                                          The Willis Tower                                                         The Willis Tower is a 110-story building with a sky deck (where you can see four states Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan) and was the worlds tallest building until 1998.     This building took 2,000 workers to build, has approximately 16,000, and weighs 222,500 tons. It took three years to build. In total the project cost $175 million. This was almost the tallest building in the world, and all tall buildings sway. This building will sway up to four to five feet, which is a lot for an average building. That is more than the Empire State Building and that building sways 6 inches.     This entire building sold for $840 million dollars in 2004. This building was originally named the Sears Tower, but they renamed in 2009 it the Willis Tower after the Willis Group Holdings. It opened in 1973 and is 1,730 feet tall, including the antenna.
