The Quest for the Rainbow Bagel
I just watched a video about a person who’s name is Zach Anner. He is on a quest to get a Rainbow Bagel from the Bagel Store, but the problem was not all parts of New York are accessible for people like him. Zach was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy which affects body movement and muscle coordination, which leads to him having to get around with a wheel chair. Zach couldn’t go down stairs, which was common in New York. He had to go down with either an elevator or a ramp if he could find any. It took Zach about seven hours to get from his hotel room to the bagel store. Zach had to go on a train, and even ride a boat just to get to the bagel store. Many people throughout the quest treated Zach differently, they ignored him. Zach was trying to get their attention, but they ignored him as if he wasn’t even there.
